Winter Extremes

Filed under: Blog — rachel hornaday @ 5:39 am

Time moves swiftly in new york minutes hours days pass and seasons change. The winter is coming to a close and spring is upon us. Trees budding, moisture in the clouds turn from snow to rain the temperature stays in the 30’s. The people are tough here the winters are cold and hibernation takes place. Reinvent yourself inside, eat root vegetables, contemplate your life and the people in it. Winter. Time away from California has allowed a gain in perspective, what I have and what I have created for myself. 8 and a half years in San Francisco and contemplation of a new home has entered my mind and is swimming around. Unsure of what the future holds for me. Time will tell, make the most of it… My mind is healthy and my heart strong. Seeking searching looking for the horizon. Buildings block the sun. Bryn calls them man made mountains, she’s from montana, she’s hard core. Tina won’t hold on in the subway, germs! Bianca and I play the hipster game not a hipster, hipster, not a hipster, not a hipster, hipster while walking through williamsburg. Style hurts. Lee Scratch Perry speaks the truth. Albert Hoffman makes psychedelic hallucinigins. Dancing till 5 in the morning rules when your quads ache and its 13 degrees out. Winter Extremes.
I have never been to a piece of property so beautiful in my life, North Haven, Tyndal Point, whoa. My great Aunt lived there for 40 years. So many plant varieties. On the the water and looming with life the woods remind me on Georgia, of my childhood.
I am so blessed to feel what it is to walk the woods and feel content, full and alive. I am live. Rachel
